The criteria to be elected for nomination for serving on the Board of Directors is as follows: The officer must be a member in good standing in one of the following categories:
- Active Annual
- Active Associate
- Active Life
- Active Associate Life
The President will customarily serve one (1) term of office as President Elect prior to assuming the duties of President. The office of President will be rotated between the Kentucky Army National Guard and the Kentucky Air National Guard, with the office of President to be held by a member of the Kentucky Air National Guard who is qualified to hold such office on every third year.
The President Elect and Vice Presidents will be elected at the annual general conference. The term for all elected officers will be approximately two (2) years beginning at the adjournment of the annual conference and ending at the adjournment of the following general conference or until a successor is duly elected and assumes the office. One (1) Vice President will be elected from the Air National Guard and one (1) Vice President will be elected from the Army National Guard at the annual general conference. The term for all elected officers will be approximately two (2) years beginning at the adjournment of the annual conference and ending at the adjournment of the following general conference or until a successor is duly elected and assumes the office.
The Secretary / Treasurer will be appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Board of Directors. The office of Secretary / Treasurer may be separate or combined with that of the Executive Director. The appointment of the Secretary / Treasurer will be for a term of two (2) year, 1 April through 31 March next following, or until a successor is duly elected and assumes the office.
Executive Director. The President with the advice and consent of the Board of Directors will complete contractual hiring of the Executive Director for a term outlined in the adopted Employment Contract
The Directors will be for each 100 officers in strength for each major command for a two year term or until replaced with their successor.
