The National Guard Association of Kentucky (NGAKY) is the professional organization of current and retired officers of the Kentucky National Guard. It is affiliated with the National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS), the nation’s oldest military association. A volunteer, non-profit, non-partisan association, NGAKY’s primary mission is to advocate the interests of our current and retired Soldiers and Airmen, as well as families and employers, ensuring the Kentucky National Guard has sufficient resources and budget to carry out its mission, as well as modern equipment, training and personnel benefits. NGAKY achieves its mission through its lobbying and legislative activities.
As the voice of the National Guard in Frankfort and Washington, NGAKY provides a path for Kentucky National Guard men and women to elevate their concerns to the state and national level. Our lobbying power and the strength of our voice comes from our membership. Our members, families, employers and the Soldiers and Airmen we lead represent a very large voting bloc and are in every Congressional and Legislative district in the Commonwealth.
In addition, members also enjoy specific benefits that provide immediate support to families today. NGAKY offers various insurance products to Guard members and their families, and our sister organization, the Kentucky National Guard Historical Foundation, provides scholarships to the children of current and former members of the Kentucky National Guard.
